Just a few “facts”

People always ask what the best age for photographs is. I will photograph ANY age child…but the milestones to photograph are:

Newborn – before 10 days old, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months. After that, many people tend to still do 15 months and 18 months as well as 2 years and every year until 5.

For the babies:

They will eat when they are photographed, they will need a diaper change, they will cry. It is worth it in the end! Newborn photos are adorable and one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Be sure to bring clothes that are plain and simple for these little ones. Too much is too much for them!

For the little ones:

I believe that rested kids make the best photos! Anything helps - a snack an extra bribe for the day, a treat on the way home... Be prepared that 2 year olds are 2 year olds and may not pose for a perfect photo! My philosophy is that kids are kids and we will photograph them as they are at the age that they are. Have some fun with photos…let them be kids. If your kids are not dressy kids, don’t bring fancy dresses, let them be comfortable.

For the families:

Please be sure you coordinate outfits. You will be much happier with the finished results if your outfits coordinate!

For belly shots:

I recommend having belly shots done in your seventh month or later. Be sure you are at a point where your belly really shows. If you are having a complicated pregnancy and want to have them done sooner please let me know.

For the high school students:

I suggest that you do both an inside and outside session. Most often people want both types of photos. There is an additional charge for this. I do not charge extra for clothing changes, so be sure to bring extra clothes to change into. I recommend that you bring with props that are important to you.

On location photo sessions do not have an extra charge unless they are more than 10 miles outside of the Brooklyn Park / Maple Grove area. If you have a questions regarding this please ask.
